The scalloped edge the name comes from BISCUIT is a nearly metre-long bar whose lower edge is not straight but cut into a row of semicircular scallops — exactly like the rim of a biscuit. It is the only ornament on the whole form and the whole of its content: from the side you see a fine, rhythmic scalloped border, and with the light on each lobe casts its own soft shadow. The pale blue colour — lighter and more pastel than a classic blue — completes the confectionery character. Control, to order In its basic form the fitting runs at a fixed output. The manufacturer will, however, supply it with a control system to order: remote, app, DALI or PUSH DIMM. That is a decision made when ordering, not an accessory fitted later — worth considering up front if the lamp is to work in lighting scenes or in a centrally controlled installation.
