POLA is a pendant with three spherical shades built from bent metal hoops, close in shape to the armillary spheres of old astronomical instruments. The shades hang from a black 70 cm bar on cords of different lengths, so they settle into an irregular line.A cage instead of a shadeThe hoops hide nothing – the bulb stays visible and the light passes between the bars, throwing a pattern of circles onto the ceiling and walls.
