LEVI 7182 is an outdoor wall light cast in concrete, in white – a rectangular block 18 cm tall with two light apertures, one at the top and one at the bottom. Rather than lighting the garden, it draws two symmetrical cones of light on the wall. Concrete, not a concrete effect The body is cast concrete – the manufacturer states hormigón outright, and the photograph shows the fine-grained, lightly speckled texture of the material rather than a smooth painted coating. That has three everyday consequences. The surface does not reflect like metal, so the fitting itself stays matt and visually quiet. Concrete does not corrode, which on an outdoor fitting counts for more than looks. And a concrete block this size has real weight, so plugs and fixing point should be chosen for the wall material, not just for the hole spacing. The block's edges are sharp and unprofiled, which reads as a deliberate nod to fair-faced concrete architecture. The white here is the pale grey-white of the aggregate, not white paint – set against white render, the difference shows. Two cones of light, up and down Set into the top and bottom faces of the block are two GU10 sockets, each behind a clear lens in a metal ring held by four screws. The result is the classic two-way trace on a façade: a band of light upwards, a band downwards, with the dark body of the fitting between them. This is architectural light, not utility light – it will not illuminate a driveway or a flight of steps, only emphasise the plane of the wall. The width of that trace depends entirely on the beam angle of the lamp you choose: 36° gives a narrow, clearly outlined cone, 60° a wider and softer spread. On pale, smooth render the effect is clean; on textured render, light grazing at an acute angle picks out every irregularity – sometimes the point, sometimes exactly the opposite. 12 W per socket at most, lamps not supplied The manufacturer gives a limit of max. 12 W LED per socket and supplies no lamps. Two sockets at 12 W is the upper load limit, not the power the fitting emits – in practice a pair of 5–7 W lamps is ample here. Because the lamp appears through the lens only as a bright disc, what matters is its colour and beam, not its looks: 3000 K suits concrete and a warm façade, while 4000 K gives the building a cooler, more technical character. Buy both lamps from the same batch – with two cones directly above one another, any colour difference between them is immediately visible. The fitting is not dimmable. Supply covers a wide 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz. Outdoors, at IP65 IP65 means full dust tightness and resistance to water jets from any direction – so it mounts on an unsheltered façade with no need for a canopy. Changing a lamp means unscrewing the ring with its lens; while it is open, check the state of the gasket, because that, not the concrete, is what keeps water out.
