The painted-steel surface has a restrained gold-beige colour: warmer than a silver metal finish, yet softer and less reflective than conventional polished gold. Against it, the pale spherical shades form a clean, gentle contrast. They occupy different positions on the plate rather than sitting on a strict central axis, so the composition changes as it is viewed from around the room. This asymmetry also gives the fitting a deliberate presence when the lights are off.Select the two G9 lamps separatelyThe fitting takes two replaceable G9 LED lamps, each rated at no more than 12 W. Lamps are not included. This leaves the colour temperature and light output to be chosen for the intended location, while a spent lamp can be replaced without discarding the whole fitting. The white glass globes conceal the bulbs and reduce a direct view of the bright points.
