The Norlys Vasa 454GR is an outdoor wall light shaped as a half-round shell 31 cm wide, projecting 12.5 cm from the wall. Its matt graphite coating sits close to the tones of concrete, render and dark joinery, so on a façade it reads as part of the architecture rather than as added hardware.The entire output goes upwardThis is a one-directional luminaire: the manufacturer's photometric data covers the upper hemisphere only, peaking exactly on the vertical, and the BUG classification B0-U3-G0 confirms nothing spills sideways or down. The wall therefore becomes the reflecting surface — 440 lm spread across it as a soft wash instead of forming a patch at eye level. It suits emphasising driveways, entrances, pillars and arcades, not lighting the ground beneath the fitting.Built for outdoor conditionsThe body is powder-coated cast aluminium, the cable entry is sealed by an EPDM gland, and the lens is structured UV-stabilised polycarbonate — so the plastic does not yellow or grow brittle in sunlight, and the structure diffuses the beam rather than showing individual diodes. IP65 covers dust and water jets from any direction, while IK08 impact resistance allows mounting where knocks are likely. The manufacturer states an operating range of −20 to +45 °C.Power, dimming and installationThe luminaire is protection class I, so the installation must provide a protective earth conductor. Terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the supply can be looped onward with up to 3 × 1.5 mm² using round cable of 7–10.5 mm outside diameter. Mounting is either via the intermediate plate with two 5 × 10 mm adjustment slots at 45 mm centres, or directly through two ø5 mm holes at 68 mm centres.
