Direct connection with 10G to Active Ethernet lines The SFP transceiver module LANCOM SFP-AON-10 is the ideal solution for fiber-based networks that rely on high bandwidths and flexible network extensions. It enables seamless 10G connectivity both downstream and upstream by connecting directly to AON networks (Active Optical Networks) via your LANCOM multi-WAN or central site SD-WAN gateway. Thanks to the direct fiber-optic connection with transmission rates of up to 10 Gbps, there is no need for additional provider modems or complex cabling. Advantages Future-proof support for AON technology with up to 10 Gbps For fiber to the home (FTTH) data transmission, AON technology is a future-proof solution: A AON-based network architecture is characterized by large bandwidths as well as high transmission ranges. The components of the gigabit speed optical network reduce its maintenance and costs, making it reliable and scalable. An upgrade to AON technology including 10G support is therefore easy to realize with the LANCOM SFP-AON-10. Direct connection to AON FTTH networks without separate provider modem While previously an additional fiber-optic modem had to connect the fiber-optic connection in the building to the router, the LANCOM SFP-AON-10 now handles the necessary conversion of the incoming data signals. This eliminates the need for cabling and installation of a modem as well as the laying of an additional power supply. Easy integration of the LANCOM SFP-XGSPON-1 The uncomplicated connection of a LANCOM SFP-AON-10 module is realized via the 10G SFP+ ports of the LANCOM 2100EF, WLC-2000, ISG-5000, and ISG-8000.
