IBAGUE is a small table lamp 20 cm tall: a conical base of white concrete topped by a 10 cm sphere. The whole form comes down to two solids – a cone and a ball – with no visible screws, no cable running over the surface and no ornament. Concrete, not an imitation of it The manufacturer lists concrete as the lamp's material, not as a finish. That has two practical consequences: the base is heavy for its size (the lamp weighs about a kilogram), so a tug on the cable will not topple it, and the surface has a natural, slightly rough texture – the matt white of concrete reads differently from painted metal or plastic, especially in daylight. The light A G9 lampholder of up to 5 W sits inside the sphere. No bulb is included, so the colour is yours to choose – with an opal sphere a warm white works best and warms the concrete too. The sphere glows as a whole and in all directions, so the lamp gives soft ambient light rather than a beam to read by. Where to put it At 20 cm tall and 10 cm wide, IBAGUE fits where a larger lamp will not: on a bedside table beside the books, on a shelf, on a windowsill, on a desk next to the monitor, on a hallway chest. IP20 places it in dry interiors; supply is 230 V.
