Clear glass, where the bulb is the ornament TULUA has a shade of entirely clear glass — not opal, not smoked. The consequence is simple and worth knowing before buying: the bulb is fully visible, and its appearance becomes part of the fitting. An ordinary frosted envelope looks unremarkable here; a classic decorative lamp with a visible filament, or an opal E27 globe, changes the character of the piece completely. No light source is supplied, so that choice genuinely rests with the buyer. Shape: a shallow dome with a break The glass measures 30 cm across at a modest height, with a distinct break in the line just below the fixing — the upper part falls away as a gentle cone, the lower flares wide and ends in a straight rim. That profile, familiar from early twentieth-century glass workshop lights, sends light broadly sideways and down rather than holding it in a narrow column. Gold fittings and a transparent cable Ceiling rose, stem and lampholder cover are metal in a gold finish — warm, satin, nearer brushed brass than mirror gold. Suspension runs on a transparent cable, so against a light ceiling essentially only the slim gold rod stays visible, rather than a cord line running across half the room. Overall height 124 cm, and what to do with it 124 cm is the full dimension from ceiling to the lower edge of the glass, suspension included — not the glass alone. The cable can be shortened at installation. Over a dining table the fitting is usually hung so the bottom edge sits 70–80 cm above the top; with a typical 250 cm ceiling that means taking several tens of centimetres out of the drop. Electrical data One E27 lampholder, maximum lamp power 12 W, supply 230 V. The 12 W cap is a figure set for LED sources — a diode of that power today equals roughly the old 100 W incandescent, so it is enough over a table for four. Ingress rating IP20: a fitting for dry interiors, not for a bathroom above the tub and not outdoors.
