The V-TAC VT-80W Solar LED Floodlight is a flat, rectangular fixture in a black aluminium housing, powered by a separate solar panel connected to the light with a 3 m cable. A remote control is included. How much light it gives and its colour The 10 W LED delivers a luminous flux of 800 lm at 6400 K, a cool, distinctly bluish white. A 120° beam angle spreads the light over a wide area, so one fixture covers more of a façade or driveway than a narrowly focused beam would. The light source is built into the housing and cannot be replaced. Power supply and remote control Power comes from a separate photovoltaic panel connected with a 3 m cable — the panel can be placed where it gets the most sun, while the fixture itself is mounted separately, lower down or in shade. The remote switches the light on and off, adjusts its brightness, and starts AUTO mode, in which a built-in dusk sensor turns the light on automatically once it gets dark. The remote also offers three timer programmes — 3, 5 and 8 hours of light after dark — for limiting battery use on shorter nights. Mounting and outdoor use An IP65 rating allows the fixture to be mounted outdoors without extra protection from rain or dust. The manufacturer intends it for façade lighting. The housing measures 19 × 5.5 × 17 cm and weighs 1.54 kg, and the mounting bracket visible in the photos lets you angle the beam against a wall or a pole, which can also carry the solar panel.
