A wide range of filter media is available including glass fiber, polypropylene, cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, nylon and ion exchange cellulose. The 800 µl UNIFILTER microplate is most commonly used in the purification, isolation and separation of biomolecules, especially DNA. The microplate has a well volume of 800 μl, which is ideal for standard DNA plasmid miniprep chemistries. The choice of short or long drip ladders is application specific. UNIFILTER 800 μl is made of rigid, high quality polystyrene. Proprietary Whatman UNIFILTER filter bottom microplates are convenient and ready to use.
