The AVC2D takes the AVC2's approach of turning the system down rather than cutting it off, and puts it under microcontroller control. The audio path stays analogue, so the sound is untouched, but the attenuation now runs in fine steps down to -90 dB, attack and decay are adjustable, and an LCD shows exactly what the unit is doing.
