When restoring instruments, it is therefore advisable to replace the speedometer faces. Converting imported vehicles from miles to kilometers also necessitates replacing the speedometer faces.Here you will receive a high-quality reproduction made of polycarbonate.Since the digitally printed speedometer faces may have slight color differences compared to the potentially faded original, we recommend replacing all dials for optimal results.The 964 and 993 had different versions of the speedometer and tachometer depending on the equipment (on-board computer, Tiptronic/manual transmission).We stock the various versions and the faces for the auxiliary instruments.Installation Note:Do not tighten the dial mounting screws completely, but only lightly engage the dial. Apply a small amount of clear nail polish to the threads of the blind screw holes beforehand (use a toothpick).The nail polish acts as a threadlocker.Tightening too much will cause the paint layer to peel!For even illumination of the numerals, the dial must be re-glued with a thin layer of conductive adhesive where it was originally glued. We recommend "PolyMax-glasklar" from UHU.Caution: Use a very thin layer!A speedometer needle puller can be found under #5205 .
