Minor deviations of a few millimeters are compensated for by the shims, but larger deviations result from the Tiptronic, 5-speed, or Carrera RS models. If in doubt, you can provide us with the markings on your old belt, and we will assemble the correct one for you. Depending on the model, one or two belts are installed directly behind each other. The RS models have a single belt. The V-belts for the engine fan and alternator are not necessarily identical. By consulting our vehicle application list and the alternatives in our shop, you will find the right belts for your Porsche. Porsche changed the belt width from 9.5 mm to 10 mm some time ago. Since then, there have been issues with the durability of the belts. They are under too much tension and tend to break more easily.
