Speedometer gear for mechanical VDO odometers, roller gear D1.3 Description: There are two weak points in the odometers of mechanical speedometers: The first is the gear at the very end of the odometer shaft. The second is this roller gear: It very often develops a fine hairline crack radially. This means it is no longer firmly seated on the shaft and can be turned with a small screwdriver. There are three different versions: A) Overall width 4.5 mm; tooth width 1.3 mm B) Overall width 5.4 mm; tooth width 2.2 mm C) Overall width 6.0 mm; tooth width 3.0 mm Simply measure the tooth width of the roller gear. We have all three versions in stock and usually available online. The variant is specified as D1.3, D2.2, or D3.0 in each auction title. The gears are suitable for allmechanical VDO speedometers from various vehicle makes. Unfortunately, we cannot provide the exact dimensions for all models, so please verify by measuring. Note: We strongly recommend also replacing the other gear (driven by the worm gear) if you have already disassembled and opened the speedometer. Check the shop for the correct sizes. They are called M10, M11, M12, M13, M14, M15, M16, M17, M18, M19, M21, and M25, and differ in the number of teeth. If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very delicate. Grasp the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise, pulling gently as you do so. Friction is all that holds the needle on the shaft.
