M11 Gear for VDO Speedometer/Odometer Repair
M11 Gear for VDO Speedometer/Odometer Repair Description: In the odometers of mechanical speedometers, this gear very often breaks radially with a fine hairline crack. It then no longer sits firmly on the shaft and shifts to the side. Please count the number of teeth before purchasing. Unfortunately, we cannot provide information on the number of teeth for all models. It can range from 10 to 25 (except 16, 20, 22, and 24). We stock all variants and usually have them available online. The gears are suitable for allmechanical VDO speedometers from various vehicle makes. Note: We strongly recommend also replacing the roller gear on the same shaft if you have already removed and opened the speedometer. Both gears are typical weak points. If the gear can be turned on the shaft, it is already damaged. Here you'll find 3 different thicknesses (4.5mm; 5.4mm; 6.0mm). Simply measure the overall thickness of the gear and order the appropriate one from the shop. If you disassemble the speedometer beforehand, please note that the speedometer needle shaft is very delicate. Grip the speedometer needle in the middle and turn it counterclockwise, pulling gently. Friction is all that holds the needle on the shaft. About the brand: Partworks GmbH is a German company specializing in the reverse engineering and distribution of spare parts for Porsche.
