Rear Axle Support Mounts for PORSCHE 924 944 968 with Bolts, Sport Rigid Left & Right Now new and available exclusively at partworks Description: These two support mounts secure the rear axle of the Porsche 924/944 and 968 to the body. Originally, the axle's torque arm is mounted to the chassis behind the wheel arch using a rubber-mounted connection. After decades of use, the original rubber mounts become porous and corroded, and new ones are rarely available. These rigid mounts directly replace the rubber-metal mounts, creating a rigid connection between the body and rear axle. This allows you to replace the defective mounts at a manageable cost and simultaneously improve your vehicle's sporty setup. The stiffened support reduces the vehicle's pitching behavior. Relative movements between the body and axle are prevented, resulting in a more rigid vehicle. The axle carriers are milled from a high-quality steel alloy and galvanically zinc-plated. The necessary mounting hardware in the required material grades is included with the rigid rear axle bearings. Matching these torque strut bearings, we also offer axle tube bearing blocks under part number #1152 . When overhauling the rear axle, we recommend converting both bearings to the rigid version together. Our customer service team is available to answer any questions.
