The Like Me bowl by BAZAR BIZAR is a round, shallow vessel made of teak wood with a rim wrapped in raffia. The strands run through a row of holes drilled in the edge and are wound around it — apart from the wood in its natural shade, that is the only finishing on the piece. How big it is and where it fits The manufacturer gives 20 cm across and 6 cm high. This is size S, the smallest of the three the model is made in. No capacity is published, so compare those 20 cm with the space you have free on a worktop, a table or a shelf. Six centimetres of height makes a shallow bowl in which the whole of the contents stays visible rather than just the top layer. The manufacturer intends it for serving fruit, nuts and crisps, and as part of a table setting. Teak wood and raffia Raffia is a dried plant fibre — the close-up in the gallery shows the individual strands and the holes they pass through. The wrapping runs around the entire rim. Every piece is made by hand in Indonesia and the manufacturer notes that no two are exactly alike.
