Over the years, leaking displays are not uncommon, and used replacement modules can also fail at any time. Please note that there are two different versions. You can only identify them definitively after removing the instrument cluster. The older version V1 has a white frame that holds the display to the circuit board with 2 or 3 screws. Later Audi models require version V2. Here, the white frame is attached with 4 screws. Please also check the number of conductive rubber strips used (V1: two conductive strips, V2: one conductive strip); this is the most reliable way to determine the correct version.
