The Nordlux Otis 40 is a white light bar 40 cm long and only 7.5 cm high, intended above a mirror or a bathroom cabinet. The body is aluminium, the plastic diffuser runs the full length of the fitting, and 1300 lm spread evenly across the face instead of casting a shadow from a single point — a difference you notice when shaving or applying make-up.Two light levels from an ordinary switchOtis uses the two-step Moodmaker™ circuit, so it needs neither a dimmer nor extra wiring. The first click of the switch gives the full 1300 lm at 3000 K; a second click straight after it drops the fitting to a 20 lm night light, soft enough that a night-time trip to the bathroom does not wake you fully. The luminaire remembers your choice: after five on/off cycles at the same setting it adopts that as the default, and a reset function returns it to the starting state.Aiming the light and mountingThe head tilts and the reflector rotates, so the beam can be aimed at the mirror or turned away from it onto the wall.
