Borg 5146GR is a post-top luminaire shaped as a flat disc, 51.2 cm in diameter and 15.4 cm high. The body is die-cast aluminium powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016, and the underside of the disc is closed by a milky, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser sealed with silicone.What is included and how it mountsYou get the luminaire alone, without a pole. It slips onto a 60 mm pole spigot to a depth of 95 mm. The pole and, if needed, the reducer 3070XX0009 or mounting adapter 154XX0010 are ordered separately. The luminaire comes with 6 m of H05RN-F 6G1 cable, connected to the supply in a suitably chosen junction box.The side area of the luminaire is 0.042 m². This figure is used when choosing the pole, because it determines the wind load the structure has to carry. The luminaire weighs 5.68 kg net.What light it givesThe 27.2 W LED module produces 4180 lm, and 2619 lm leave the luminaire at 32 W — enough to light a path, a square or a driveway rather than just mark its edge. 3000 K is a warm white, and CRI 80 is standard colour rendering for outdoor lighting.All the light is directed downwards: the ULOR is 0%, so nothing goes above the disc, and the BUG rating B1-U1-G1 means low uplight and limited glare. The manufacturer gives the photometric data for a 4 m mounting height — the reference point for choosing pole height and spacing.Control and connectionThe driver works in a DALI2 system with the NightDim (4DIM) function. It leaves the factory programmed to maximum current, and Norlys programs other parameters by arrangement with its sales department.This is a protection class I luminaire, so it needs a protective earth conductor. It is rated IP65, IK08 and 6/10 kV surge protection. At switch-on it draws an inrush current of 26 A for 180 µs, which is why the manufacturer states that 18 of these luminaires can run on one B10A circuit breaker and 28 on a B16A.Lifetime and servicingThe manufacturer rates the LED module at over 54,000 hours (L90) and the driver at 100,000 hours. The module and control gear are not meant to be replaced by the user, but a professional service can replace them.
