A wide shade instead of a point of light VENCID has a shade 45 cm across — wide enough to spread light over the whole table top rather than casting a concentrated circle. Above a table for four to six, that means every place is lit evenly, without the darker corners that appear under a narrow fitting. The lower part of the shade is acrylic, the structure steel and aluminium. The acrylic acts as a diffuser here: it scatters the LED light so that from below you see an even luminous surface rather than points. That matters precisely at a table, where the fitting hangs in the sightline of the people seated. 1765 lumens from 25 watts The integrated 25 W LED module delivers 1765 lm at 3000 K. Efficacy comes to about 71 lm/W — a value typical of decorative fittings with a diffuser, where part of the output is deliberately given up in exchange for viewing comfort. 1765 lumens is roughly what a 100 W incandescent bulb produced. Over a dining table that is enough to light the eating zone on its own; as the only source in a room above 15 m² it needs supplementing with general light. TRIAC dimming The manufacturer states that the fitting can be dimmed with TRIAC — an ordinary wall phase-cut dimmer rated for LED loads. No remote, no app, no control system: swapping the switch is enough. On a fitting above a table, brightness control has a concrete use. The full 1765 lm suits working and eating; dimmed to 30% the same light becomes quiet evening illumination. Worth remembering that the dimmer must be rated for LED loads — models made only for incandescent lamps tend to flicker at 25 W. Dimensions and installation Total height including the suspension is 125 cm, shortened at installation. Above a dining table the practical minimum is around 70 cm from the top to the bottom edge of the shade — with a wide 45 cm shade, hanging lower starts to block the view between people sitting opposite each other. The fitting weighs 3.5 kg, runs on 230 V and carries IP20 — dry interiors only. The finish is matt white and neutral against wall and ceiling colour; with the light off the fitting draws no attention, which in a minimalist room is a virtue.
