Chiral column with coated polysaccharide selectors. This CHIRALCELcolumn has an inner diameter of 4.6 mm, a length of 150 mm and a particle size of 3.0 µm. Daicel's conventional polysaccharide-based phases are produced by physically coating the polysaccharide derivatives onto silica matrices. Due to this manufacturing process, the use of a range of solvents is limited. Some strong solvents such as tetrahydrofuran, dichloromethane and chloroform promote the solubility of the compounds but can damage the coated phases.
