Pinne Table Dusty Blue is a 35 cm tall table lamp: a slim metal stem on a flat round base, topped with a sphere of white matt glass. The muted blue covers the base and the stem — the shade is white on every variant in this collection. How much desk space it takes Base and shade stay within a 14 × 14 cm square, so the lamp occupies the corner of a desk beside a monitor or keyboard. At 35 cm tall the shade sits slightly above the eye line of someone seated at the desk rather than shining straight into it. The lamp weighs 0.8 kg. Which bulb you need to buy The lamp has one E14 socket and takes a bulb of up to 10 W in LED form, roughly the output of an old 60 W incandescent. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself: desk work usually calls for neutral white, evening reading for warm white. The shade is matt and opaque all the way round, so it spreads light evenly in every direction instead of aiming it downwards. The bulb goes into the socket before the shade is fitted — the glass sphere is pressed onto the socket by hand, with no ring and no tools.
