GBIN51 is a two-metre length of profile for the Gea Luce 48-volt track system, in satin black aluminium. The manufacturer intends it for recessed installation: side flanges widen the section to 69 mm and cover the edge of the cut-out, while the channel that carries the fittings is 19 mm wide. How much room it needs in the ceiling The whole section is 15 mm high — a figure to compare with the space left above the ceiling board along the length of the run. One length measures 2 m and weighs 0.93 kg, so a longer line is assembled from several lengths. Accessories for joining the lengths are not included. Connectors and feed modules — GBIC11, for instance, joins two tracks in line or at a corner — are separate items in this system and have to be counted against the number of joints in the layout. Supply and switching The track runs on 48 V DC and is a class III item, so no mains voltage reaches the profile itself — the 48 V comes from an external power supply. The manufacturer states plainly that this profile allows neither dimming nor double switching: every fitting on the run sits in one circuit that is simply switched on and off. The IP20 rating and the "Interno" marking limit installation to dry indoor spaces. Finish Satin black is a matt, non-reflective aluminium finish — in a light ceiling the profile stays visible as a dark line rather than disappearing into it.
