BERLIANE 00430/20/60 is a pendant light on a 90 cm elongated black ceiling plate, with five clear glass shades hanging from thin cables in an elongated dome shape. Each shade is 9 cm across and 11 cm tall, and the holders above them are finished in gold. The fixture measures 93 cm end to end. What to hang it over, and how low 93 cm is a length made for a rectangular table or a kitchen island — five points along the bar light the whole length of the surface, not one part of it. The ceiling plate is 90 cm long and 3.5 cm deep, so it sits flat against the ceiling. The height is adjusted after installation, between 65 and 164.5 cm, with a maximum cable drop of 150 cm. Over a table the shades usually sit with their lower edge 70-80 cm above the top: at a 75 cm table that is roughly mid-range. The fixture weighs 2.7 kg. How much light it gives The source is five built-in LED modules of 4 W each, 20 W for the whole fixture, and each puts out 200 lm. Together that is 1000 lm — about what an old 75 W bulb gave, spread across five points. At 2700 K the light is warm and slightly yellow, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough for eating and working at the table. The shades are clear, so the light spreads all round instead of forming a single cone below the fixture; the maker describes the distribution as diffuse and non-directional. It can be dimmed, but it has no control electronics of its own — Lucide states light switch control, so a dimmer has to be bought separately and fitted in the wall box. What is in the box and what can be replaced The LED driver is included along with the mounting hardware, so nothing else is needed apart from a dimmer. The fixture is protection class I, which makes an earth conductor mandatory, and IP20 — for dry interiors only. The LED module is replaceable and Lucide lists it as service part 94/00430/00, with a single 9 cm shade as 92/00430/60. A broken glass or spent module does not write off the lamp. The maker states 20,000 hours of source life and 10,000 switching cycles, with 3 years of warranty on the fixture.Show more
