The Lucide EXTRAVAGANZA TUSSE is a small table lamp with a cylindrical linen shade wrapped at mid-height by a brushed gold band. The shade is 15 cm across and 20 cm tall and stands on a round metal base in matt gold, 12 cm in diameter. The linen comes in two shades of green: the lighter one above the band, the darker below it. How big it is and where it fits The whole lamp stands 22 cm tall and 15 cm across — a size that fits on a bedside table next to a book and an alarm clock, and leaves room for the keys on a hall console. The manufacturer names exactly that: the hallway, the living room and the bedside. The base covers a 12 cm circle on the surface and is 2 cm high. The lamp weighs 0.38 kg, so it moves with one hand; when carrying it, hold the base rather than the linen shade. Which bulb to buy The fitting has one E14 socket and takes a bulb of up to 40 W on 230 V mains. No bulb is included, so it has to be chosen separately; the manufacturer lists the lamp as suitable for LED sources, which at this wattage warm the shade far less than a traditional filament bulb. The lamp is not dimmable and will not work with a dimmer, so the brightness is settled once, by the choice of bulb. Light colour depends on that bulb alone: at a bedside, 2700 K — warm, slightly yellow light — is the usual pick. Switching it and how it is made The switch sits on the cord rather than on the body, so the lamp goes off without being touched — which matters beside a bed, where the fitting stands out of arm's reach. The opaque linen shade sends light up and down, and a soft glow comes through the weave. The shade is linen and the base is metal with a brushed finish.
