The Belluna 3-light is a pendant lamp with three shades of hand-blown brown glass, each hanging on its own cable from a shared round ceiling plate. Inside every shade sits a second, opal-white glass. The cables are shortened independently, so the three shades hang at three different heights. How big the lamp is and where to hang it The ceiling plate is 40 cm across and 3 cm deep, and it is the part fixed to the ceiling, so 40 cm of clear ceiling has to stay free at the mounting point. The shade itself is 14 cm across, the complete pendant measures 35 cm in height, and the fitting weighs 4.75 kg. Each cable is 500 cm long and gets cut to the height you need during installation, so the maximum drop is 5 m. That reserve pays off where the ceiling is high: above a stairwell, over an open gallery, or in a hall open to the floor above. In a room of ordinary height the cable will need shortening by a long way. The fitting is protection class I, so it has to be connected to wiring with an earth conductor. How much light the Belluna gives The lamp takes three bulbs with an E14 base rated up to 40 W each. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour temperature and brightness yourself. The light can be dimmed, but that needs a dimmer and bulbs described as dimmable. The white opal inner glass hides the bulb and diffuses the light, so looking at the fitting from the side you do not see a glowing point. The brown outer glass passes the light on in a warmer, more subdued tone than clear glass would. Build and interiors The shades are mouth-blown, so the pattern in the glass differs from piece to piece. The structure combines glass with metal: the ceiling plate and the lampholders are black metal. The form carries no ornament, and the round shade narrows at the top into a slim neck. The manufacturer intends the fitting for a stairwell, a hall or entrance area, a living room, and above a kitchen island.
