Norlys Alta 1443GA bollard light E27, 85 cm, pine wood and hot-dip galvanised steel

Name: Norlys Alta 1443GA bollard light E27, 85 cm, pine wood and hot-dip galvanised steel
Brand: NORLYS

Alta 1443GA is an 85 cm Norlys bollard whose shaft is impregnated Scandinavian pine in a light, natural tone. The head with five horizontal louvres, the ring beneath it and the foot are hot-dip galvanised steel left unpainted, so they show the grey, metallic surface of zinc. Inside the head sits an opal PMMA diffuser.Size and installationThe bollard is 85 cm tall and 15 cm in diameter, and the luminaire weighs 5.9 kg. It is fixed with three screws through ø9 mm holes spaced at 120° on a 65 mm circle. For setting it in the ground or on a foundation, Norlys sells concrete anchor 205, ground anchor 206, concrete-foundation adapter 206S and mounting adapters 3080 and 3086 separately. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the next luminaire can be looped in with conductors up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so one supply line can feed several bollards along a path. The cable gland takes a round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter.Light source and light distributionThe luminaire has an E27 socket for an A55–A60 shaped bulb, and the manufacturer allows an LED source of up to 9 W. No bulb is included, so you choose the colour and brightness along with it – an LED bulb of about 800 lm gives as much light as an old 60 W bulb, and 2700 K is a warm, yellowish light. The opal diffuser spreads the light all around the bollard, while the louvres shield it from above. The manufacturer states ULOR 11% and a BUG rating of B0-U1-G0, meaning only a small share of the light goes skywards and the luminaire causes little glare for people walking past.Durability and where it fitsIP65 means the luminaire is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the bollard can stand outdoors without any cover. Impact resistance IK08 matters by a driveway and anywhere the bollard is easy to knock into. The luminaire is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor. The manufacturer designed Alta for private grounds and public areas: the bollard suits a terrace, a garden, a driveway or a street, as well as hotels and restaurants. Natural wood with raw galvanised metal and a plain round form place it in the Scandinavian style.Show more
