UNICA BLACK/SILVER is a three-light ceiling fitting built on a plain black bar 60 cm long. Three short rigid stems come off the bar and end in metal rings — black on the outside, with visible silver ribs. The rings are open at the bottom, so the bulb stays in view. How it mounts and how far it comes down This is a surface fitting, not a pendant: the stems are rigid and the bar screws straight onto the ceiling, with no cables and no drop adjustment. The whole fitting hangs 25 cm below the ceiling — a fixed figure that cannot be shortened or extended. The bar takes up a strip of 60 × 12 cm. Over a dining table 80–90 cm wide those 60 cm sit along the top and cover three places; over a kitchen island it is worth comparing them with the length of the worktop itself. Where the ceiling is low, the 25 cm drop is the argument for this version rather than the hanging one — the manufacturer makes the same design as a pendant 120 cm tall. Which bulbs to buy The fitting has three E27 sockets on 230 V and comes with no light sources — you buy the three bulbs separately. The manufacturer states a maximum of 60 W per socket; the same limit applies on the single-light version of this series, so it is the limit of one lampholder and not of the whole fitting. Because the rings are open at the bottom you see not only the light but the bulb itself — its shape and the colour of its glass are part of how the fitting looks. A construction like this usually takes decorative bulbs with a visible filament structure; with an opal globe the light is softer, because it does not reach the eye straight from a bare source. The fitting has no dimmer of its own — dimming depends on the bulb and an external dimmer. Build Bar, stems and rings are metal throughout.
