Recessed, but it drops out and tilts The FOCUS S C048CL-U-1W is a recessed fitting whose barrel does not sit flush with the ceiling — it extends below the plane and swivels on a stem, so the light can be aimed at a picture, a shelf or a worktop instead of only straight down. That is the substantive difference from an ordinary downlight: you buy a light point that can still be re-aimed after it is installed. A 75 mm cut-out A round 75 mm hole has to be cut in the ceiling. The visible trim ring is 95 mm across, so it covers the edge of the opening with margin. The barrel is 52 mm in diameter and 92 mm long, and the whole fitting stands 123 mm tall. Maytoni's own table gives two figures for the mounting-hole depth — 50 and 55 mm — and it is safer to plan for the larger one. It fixes with spring clips, no additional frame required. You choose the lamp The fitting takes a single GU10 lamp of up to 10 W and runs on 220–240 V, 50 Hz. Colour temperature, output and beam angle therefore depend on what you fit — a real advantage on a directional fitting, since the same barrel can carry a narrow beam over a picture and a wider one over a worktop. Maytoni does not provide dimming on the luminaire side. Build The body is aluminium in white. IP20 keeps it in dry interiors, and protection class II means no earth connection is needed.
