NORLYS Modena Big 3012WH post-top lantern head, white, E27

Name: NORLYS Modena Big 3012WH post-top lantern head, white, E27
Brand: NORLYS

The Modena Big 3012WH is a classic garden lantern head: a hexagonal lantern with clear panes, a roof topped with a finial and a decorative crossbar below the body. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated in white RAL 9003, and the panes are clear UV-stabilised polycarbonate. The head is made to be mounted on a lighting column, which is chosen separately. Mounting on the column and wiring The head fixes with three bolts through ø10.5 mm holes set at 120° on a 240 mm diameter circle – compare that pattern with the top of the column you choose. The light weighs 9.78 kg, or 12.82 kg packed, and comes in a 55 × 43 × 28.5 cm carton. The terminals take conductors up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next lantern at the same cross-section, so several lanterns along a path can share one cable. The EPDM gland takes round cable of 7–12.5 mm. The light is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth, and IP54 protects it against dust and rain from any direction. What light it gives Inside is an E27 holder for an A55–A60 shaped lamp, the ordinary pear shape of 55–60 mm diameter, LED up to 9 W. The lamp is not included. Norlys also offers the head with a Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K: that is the brightness of an old 60 W bulb in warm, yellowish light, and the lamp is dimmable. The panes are clear, so the bulb is visible and the light goes out sideways, all round the lantern. The user changes the lamp. A damaged diffuser can be replaced on its own – Norlys lists it as a spare part, service kit 06380004. The light works from −20 to +45 °C. Look and colour The hexagonal lantern with its roof and crossbar has the classic look of a park lamp and suits a garden around a traditional or retro-style house. White RAL 9003 is the paint colour on the aluminium; Norlys also makes this head in black, and other colours to order.Show more
