Novelty 2026: The BR 62 was the result of the efforts of the Reichsbahn Central Office to develop a series of standard locomotives for various areas of operation. Based on the never-built BR 20, a high-speed two-cylinder superheated steam tank locomotive with a 2C2 wheel arrangement was developed.
