Skim is the smallest luminaire in the Maytoni Flarity magnetic system: a black aluminium cylinder 29 mm across and 90 mm tall, closed at the bottom with an opal diffuser. It clips into the track magnetically, without tools, and slides along it after fitting. What it clips into The luminaire runs on 24 V DC rather than on 230 V mains — it works only in a Flarity magnetic track and only together with that system's driver. The track and the driver are separate articles, so on a first purchase they are bought alongside the luminaire itself; where a Flarity track is already up, the fitting is simply added to it with no work on the wiring. For the same reason it works in protection class III: the safe low voltage comes from the system driver, and the luminaire itself needs no earth connection. How much light it gives The built-in LED module draws 3 W and delivers 90 lm at 3000 K, a warm white close to an incandescent bulb. This is an accent output: one fitting lights a shelf, a picture or a stretch of worktop, and a room is lit by placing several along the track. The colour rendering index is Ra 90, so colours stay true under it — which matters over a work surface and on displayed goods. The light leaves at a 110° angle, that is widely, without a sharp-edged pool. The fitting is not dimmable and the diode cannot be replaced; the manufacturer quotes 50,000 hours of service life for it. Size and build The body is aluminium finished in black. At 29 mm across and 90 mm tall the luminaire weighs 120 g, so even several of them put no load on the track.
