Qualitative filter papers for coarse rejects. Maintains flow rate due to reduction of filter paper contact with funnel side and self-supporting shape of the filter itself. Reduced total filtration time because of the exposed extra surface area; the normal slowing of filtration rate due to particle loading is postponed. Time saved on quadrant-fold circles for conical filter funnels in repeat or multiple analysis. Increased total loading capacity because more filter area is available. Pre-closing does not significantly affect specifications and the same numbers can be used for the flat circles. Cellulose filters are used in qualitative analytical techniques to determine and identify materials. Preformed qualitative filters provide improved flow rate and increased loading capacity compared to equivalent pleated quadrant filters.Show more
