TROSILA is a small ceiling light made of two parts: a plaster cup against the ceiling and an opal glass sphere hanging just below it. The whole thing is 12 cm tall and 8 cm across, and takes one G9 source up to 5 W. Plaster and opal glass — two different behaviours of light This pairing of materials does all the work. Plaster is opaque and matt: it absorbs reflections, never glints, and looks like a piece of the plasterwork, so the base all but disappears against a white ceiling. Opal glass does the opposite — it glows across its whole surface, scattering the source's light evenly in every direction. The result is a bright sphere apparently floating under the ceiling, with no visible fixing and no dazzling point. G9 up to 5 W — this is a supplementary light The G9 base and the 5 W ceiling define the role clearly: a modern G9 LED at that rating gives around 400–500 lumens, which is what a corridor, a dressing room, an alcove or a stairwell needs. Lighting a living room takes several such points or a fitting of an entirely different output. No bulb is included, so the light colour is your choice — 2700 K brings out the warm tone of the plaster, 4000 K sharpens the white. A size that changes the use case Eight centimetres across is smaller than a typical flush fitting, and that is exactly why TROSILA works where an ordinary one would be too big: over a narrow corridor, in a dressing room, in an alcove, or in a row of several along a circulation route. At 12 cm tall the lamp hangs noticeably below the ceiling, so in a low room check that it will not sit at head height by a doorway. Installation and limits The fitting weighs 0.5 kg and mounts straight to the ceiling; the plaster base covers a standard box. The material is hard but brittle — plaster chips easily on impact, so install the lamp clear of busy circulation. An IP20 rating limits it to dry interiors. It can be dimmed, provided a dimmable G9 lamp and a dimmer in the circuit are used.
