Two cubes on one base — a surface-mounted fitting ALTRA DICE is a surface-mounted fitting, fixed to the face of a ceiling or wall rather than recessed into an opening. Two cube-shaped heads sit on a rectangular base 22.5 cm long, each with a light opening on one side. The form is deliberately geometric: a cube instead of the usual cylinder, sharp edges instead of curves — hence the name "dice". In practice one fitting can light two entirely different targets — a picture on the wall and the shelving beside it, or a worktop and a doorway. It is that range of adjustment, rather than the shape, that defines what this model is for: shops, galleries and rooms with staged detail, where light is aimed at a specific object. Two GU10 lamps at mains voltage The lampholders are GU10 (QPAR51) and run directly on 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz — no transformer, no driver, the fitting connects straight to the installation. The manufacturer states a maximum of 50 W per head, so up to 100 W in total; with LED lamps the real consumption will be several times lower. Bulbs are not included. The fitting is protection class I, so the earth conductor must be connected. Build and dimensions The body combines aluminium and steel in a white finish; the silver-grey version carries its own article number. It measures 22.5 × 7 cm and stands 9 cm tall, weighing 0.797 kg net — heavy for a twin spot, so the fixing should suit the substrate, particularly in a plasterboard ceiling. Conditions of use IP20 places it in dry rooms; the stated ambient temperature is 25 °C. Light emission is direct — the whole output goes where the head is aimed, with no diffuse component.
