Larson is a tall terracotta vase in matt white with a distinctly grainy surface. The body is round in section and, about a third of the way up, steps in to a narrower straight upper section that ends in a plainly cut rim. The white covers the whole form, including the edge of the opening. Size and where it will stand The vase measures 36 cm high, 14.5 cm wide and the same deep, so its base is a circle 14.5 cm across. The first figure is the height it takes up — the length of the stems put into it comes on top of that. The second is the area it occupies on a sideboard, a windowsill or a shelf; compare it with the free space where you intend to put it. What is in the box The vase is supplied on its own. In the catalogue photographs it stands in a styled arrangement — with dried grasses, candles and other sizes from the same range. None of that is part of the delivery; the 14.5 x 36 cm Larson is sold singly. Terracotta and finish The vase is made of terracotta, that is fired clay — the material of classic flower pots, here in white and without gloss. The surface is matt and heavily grained, with horizontal throwing marks, so it scatters light instead of reflecting it the way glazed ceramic does.
