Havana is a green-wall panel from Green Designers' vertical garden collection – a ready-made module of artificial plants for cladding a section of wall, with no water supply, growing medium or lighting involved. This composition is dominated by monstera and palms, so the effect is distinctly tropical: the large, split monstera leaves form the main drawing while fan-shaped palm fronds fill the background. What exactly you are buying The quoted price is for a panel of 0.5 m². That matters when planning: a wall is priced and ordered in multiples of this module rather than as a single product with fixed dimensions. Panels are made to order to a specified size, so the green wall can take any shape and dimension – including cut-outs for sockets, switches or a television. On larger installations the manufacturer numbers the panels and arranges them so that, once mounted, they form one coherent image without conspicuously repeating motifs. Construction The composition is built on a flexible mesh, so the panel can be adapted to an uneven surface and trimmed. It uses 10 species of artificial plant – and it is the number of species, not density alone, that decides whether a wall reads as natural or as a repeated pattern. The green layer is 10–20 cm thick, which gives real depth and shadow between the leaves. The plants are made from damage-resistant textiles, plastics and rubber. Every piece is made by hand in the manufacturer's workshop, so no two panels are identical. Where it works The great advantage of artificial greenery is that it asks for nothing: the panel needs no light, no water and no care, so it goes where living plants will not survive – a dark corridor, a stairwell, a windowless bathroom, an office or a commercial interior.
