Nora 2474CB is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat 13 × 13 cm cube that projects 5 cm from the wall. The body is die-cast aluminium, powder-coated in copper brown (RAL 8004). At the top and bottom of the fitting are windows of satin safety glass, through which two wide, diffused beams leave the light – one up the wall, the other down. How much light, and what kind The fitting delivers 593 lm at a consumption of 15.3 W, with half of that flux directed upwards (ULOR 50%). That is enough to pick out part of a facade, an entrance or a wall, not to light a whole driveway. The satin glass hides the individual LEDs, so the wall shows soft washes rather than sharp spots. A colour temperature of 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light, like that of an old incandescent bulb. The driver is built in and works on DALI2, so brightness is set from a DALI controller; dimming requires an installation with that type of control. Installation and connection The fitting is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm apart. The terminals accept conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm², and the gland takes a round-sheathed cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. Further fittings can be looped through with conductors up to 5 × 1.5 mm², so a row of lights along a facade runs on a single circuit. For such a row the inrush current matters: 6.7 A for 2.4 µs. The manufacturer states that one B 10 A breaker handles 46 fittings, a B 16 A or C 10 A breaker 74, and a C 16 A breaker 119. The light is protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth. Build and service IP65 means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so the fitting can be mounted on a wall without a canopy. IK09 is high impact resistance, useful where the light hangs within arm's reach. The LED modules and the driver are replaced by a professional service; the manufacturer offers service kit ZN2474XX0009 for this model and rates the driver lifetime at 100,000 h.
