Agilent Technologies HPLC Column MetaSil AQ 3, C18, 100Å, 3 μm, 2.1 x 150 mm
This version of the MetaSil column is 150 mm long, has an internal diameter of 2.1 mm, and a particle size of 3.0 µm. MetaSil Basic packings are mixtures of several short-chain alkyl groups. The packings are made by monomeric bonding of a mixture of several short-chain alkyl groups to a high-purity silica surface with 'neutral' silanol groups. This unique silane mixing process results in extremely high surface coverage and excellent performance characteristics for polar and basic (including amine) drugs. MetaSil Basic tends to retain polar substances more strongly than standard stationary phases and shows excellent retention of compounds that would elute in the void with standard alkyl stationary phases. MetaSil Basic is recommended for use in the pH range of 2-7.5. Perfect peak shape for the analysis of basic substances. High surface coverage.
