ALL DAY is a linear LED luminaire for recessing into a ceiling — a 117 cm profile that disappears into the void so that only the lit face shows from the room. It draws 36 W and gives 3,200 lumens in a warm 3000 K. Recessed, not surface-mounted This distinction decides whether the fitting can be installed at all. SLI038002WW is the recessed version: the body goes into the ceiling and only the edge remains outside. That needs a cut-out in the board and clearance above it for the housing — 34.8 mm plus room for the wiring. The manufacturer also offers ALL DAY as a surface-mounted version; confirm which one the design calls for before ordering, because the profiles are not interchangeable. 3,200 lumens from one metre seventeen At 36 W the fitting gives 3,200 lm, or 88 lm/W. For comparison, that is roughly as much light as two 58 W T8 fluorescent tubes together, at a little over a third of the power draw. The 120° spread is wide — the light lays down evenly along the whole length with no hard patches. The 3000 K colour is warm, so despite the office-like form the fitting also suits a kitchen, a hallway or a retail area where cool white would feel harsh. Ra 80 and SDCM 5 — what to expect A colour rendering index of Ra 80 is the standard for functional lighting: colours read clearly, but judging fabric or paint shades calls for CRI 90. Colour consistency is quoted as SDCM max 5 — a fairly loose figure, so with several fittings in one run small differences in the shade of white may be visible between units. In a long corridor it is worth ordering them from one batch. Driver inside, no dimming The driver is included — there is nothing to select and no need to find room for it in the ceiling. The fitting is not dimmable and will not respond to a dimmer in the circuit; it works on/off. Protection class I requires an earth conductor, and the IP20 rating limits it to dry interiors. Lifetime and build The housing is aluminium in silver — the metal carries the diodes' heat away, and the declared 50,000 hour lifetime depends on it. The manufacturer also quotes 25,000 switching cycles, which matters where the light is toggled often. The −20 to +40 °C range covers unheated rooms. The warranty is 5 years — two and a half times the usual two in this class.
