Dining Table 200 cm MARIS Natural Oak Veneer

Name: Dining Table 200 cm MARIS Natural Oak Veneer
Brand: Nova Nook

Nova Nook's MARIS dining table pairs a rounded tabletop with two broad, curved panel legs. It is made from MDF covered with natural oak veneer, leaving the wood grain visible across the light-coloured surface rather than hiding it beneath an opaque finish.Plan around the 200 × 100 cm topThe table measures 200 cm across, 100 cm deep and 76 cm high. When laying out a dining room, allow for the whole outline of the top, not just the footprint of its supports. The rounded ends still occupy floor space. In a spacious kitchen or a dining area within a living room, compare these measurements with the space needed to pull chairs out and walk behind someone who is seated. The manufacturer specifies 120 cm between the legs. This matters when choosing chairs for the long sides because the broad supports define the space beneath the top. Compare that measurement with the width of your intended seats instead of deriving a fixed seating capacity from the tabletop alone. For chairs with arms, also check their height against the lower edge of the top before planning to tuck them underneath.Oak veneer, not solid oak throughoutMARIS combines an MDF substrate with a natural oak surface; it is not a table made entirely from solid oak. The photographs show lengthwise grain on the top and vertical grain on the supports. Two broad, curved panels replace the four slender corner legs found on many dining tables. The simple arrangement and absence of decorative fittings support a modern, minimalist setting. Look at the end view when coordinating other furniture: the curved profile of the legs is an important part of this table's shape, alongside the rounded perimeter of the top.Protect the surface during mealsNova Nook requires protective coasters or placemats and says to avoid direct contact between wet or hot dishes and the tabletop. Allow for that protection beneath place settings and serving vessels alike. Natural veneer does not establish resistance to hot pans or moisture, so the manufacturer's surface-care requirement should be part of the choice of this oak-finished table.Show more
