GES885C Outdoor Wall Sconce, Brown, Gea Luce, IP54

Name: GES885C Outdoor Wall Sconce, Brown, Gea Luce, IP54
Brand: Gea Luce

Gea Luce GES885C is a brown outdoor wall light with an elongated body and rounded ends. A die-cast aluminium housing surrounds a glass diffuser, with light emitted both upwards and downwards. Its plain front and absence of decorative detailing suit modern and minimalist exterior walls.A shallow horizontal fittingThe light measures 28 cm wide, 9 cm high and 3.5 cm deep. Compare these dimensions with the available wall area, particularly when positioning it on a narrow pier or between nearby architectural features. Its shallow body keeps the fitting close to the wall rather than projecting on an arm with a separate shade. The manufacturer specifies outdoor wall mounting. Suitable locations include a facade or a wall beside a terrace or balcony. IP54 provides protection against limited dust ingress and splashing water; it does not make the fitting suitable for immersion or installation in the ground.Warm light above and below the bodyIntegrated 2 × 12 W LED modules and the transformer are included, so there is no screw-base bulb to select separately. The 3000 K colour temperature produces warm-white light. The manufacturer specifies 1150 lm and a 133° beam angle. Emission in two directions highlights the wall above and below the fitting rather than providing an adjustable spotlight.Operation is on/off only: GES885C is not dimmable. Check this against the planned controls before choosing it for a circuit where brightness adjustment is required. The integrated source also means that selecting a different bulb is not a way to change the colour temperature.Electrical installation and cleaningThe supply is 220–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. This is a Class I fitting and requires a protective earth connection. The assembly instructions call for qualified installation with the mains supply switched off. For cleaning, they specify a damp cloth with mild detergent followed by gentle drying with a soft cloth. Keep water and cleaning agents away from cables and electrical components.Show more
