LETICIA LE42436 is a bathroom wall light 39.5 cm wide: a chromed, curved plate fixed to the wall, from which two white opal glass cylinders extend to either side. The whole fitting is only 5 cm tall and 5.5 cm deep – it lies flat against the wall. IP44, which means above a mirror The IP44 rating is the most important figure here: protection against solid bodies over 1 mm and against splashing water from any direction. That is the value permitting installation in a bathroom outside the direct shower zone – that is, exactly above a mirror and by a basin, where an ordinary IP20 fitting has no business hanging. The glass covers are closed, so steam and splashes do not reach inside. Two sources, not one The fitting has two E14 sockets of up to 5 W each – one in each cylinder. At a mirror that matters concretely: two points spaced 39.5 cm apart light the face from two sides and fill the shadows under eyes and chin, which a single lamp above a mirror never does. The opal glass spreads the light evenly along the whole cylinder, so neither bulbs nor hard reflections show in the mirror. Bulbs are not included. Horizontal and vertical mounting The symmetrical build – fixing in the middle, covers at the sides – lets the fitting go horizontally above a mirror or vertically beside it. With narrow mirrors, a pair of vertical LETICIAs on either side gives better light than one horizontal above the glass. The chrome finish suits ordinary bathroom fittings; the body is aluminium, the covers glass. Supply 230 V.
