MARGARY is a Belgian pendant lamp by Lucide: a black bar 103 cm long from which five slim aluminium tubes hang, each with a gold ring at the bottom. The LEDs are built in and supplied with the fitting — 5 × 4.2 W, 2,300 lumens in total, in a very warm 2700 K. Five tubes, 460 lumens each It is worth doing this arithmetic carefully, because it is easy to get wrong: each of the five points gives 460 lm, and the whole lamp 2,300 lm on 21 W. That is enough to light a dining table on its own — this is not a purely decorative fitting. The narrow 36° beam and downward throw mean five distinct pools on the tabletop rather than an even wash across the room: the tubes are closed at the top, so the ceiling stays dark. CRI 90 — food looks like food A colour rendering index of 90 is rare in decorative lighting and has a practical payoff right above a table: meat, vegetables and wine keep their natural colour instead of going grey the way they do under a cheap CRI 80 LED. The 2700 K colour is noticeably warmer than the usual 3000 K — close to an old incandescent bulb, cosy in the evening. The colour cannot be switched; it is a fixed warm white. The height is set after installation MARGARY is one of the fittings that are adjustable in height once installed: each tube's drop varies from 50 to 169 cm measured from the ceiling. In practice that means hanging them low and level over a kitchen island, or higher — or staggered — over a dining table. The cable is 130 cm with a fabric braid, and the mounting plate measures 101 × 8 × 3.5 cm, covering a standard box. Dimming needs a dimmer in the wall The lamp is dimmable but has no control of its own — an external dimmer in the circuit is required, and the manufacturer does not supply one. The driver, however, is included. The fitting is protection class II (double insulated, no earth conductor), rated IP20, and suits dry interiors only. Build and family Body, shades and bar are entirely aluminium, powder coated in matt black — a powder coat resists scratching better than ordinary paint, and matt throws no specular highlight. The whole lamp weighs 2.97 kg. MARGARY also comes as a three-light version (24402/15/30) and in coffee (24402/30/96 and 24402/15/96). Declared LED lifetime is 30,000 hours; the manufacturer's warranty is 3 years.
