Mantra SAL 6282 ceiling spotlight, matt white, 2 × GU10

Name: Mantra SAL 6282 ceiling spotlight, matt white, 2 × GU10
Brand: Mantra

Mantra SAL 6282 is a matt white ceiling spotlight with two cylindrical heads on a rectangular base. Its aluminium-and-iron construction takes two replaceable GU10 bulbs, purchased separately. Article 6282 identifies the two-light version, rather than the longer SAL bars or the single spotlight in the same family.Direct the two heads separatelyThe heads can sit at different angles, allowing light to be directed towards two selected parts of an interior. This arrangement is worth considering in a hallway or dressing room, or as supplementary living-room lighting. For a kitchen or dining area, the mounting position needs to be considered in relation to the surface being lit. Two heads alone do not establish how bright an entire room will be.The separately selected bulbs also determine the result through their lumen output, colour temperature and beam angle. Compare those details before choosing your GU10 lamps: sharing a socket does not mean that different bulbs produce the same spread or quantity of light.Allow for more than the baseThe base measures 25 cm long and 7.5 cm wide. The manufacturer's drawing also gives an outline of 30.45 × 9.68 cm with the heads angled. The product page states a height of 12.8 cm, while each cylinder is 6 cm in diameter. When planning the ceiling position, consider the space occupied by the heads as well as the base itself. Sideways aiming can take the heads beyond the rectangular mounting footprint.Bulbs and ceiling installationThe instructions specify two GU10 LED bulbs rated at a maximum of 10 W each; neither bulb is included. Mantra lists the fitting as non-dimmable. It is surface-mounted and requires a protective earth connection in accordance with class I. The documentation does not confirm a dedicated stretch-ceiling mounting system.A straight bar, unornamented cylinders and a matt white finish give this fitting a modern, minimalist character. Choose SAL 6282 for a short directional ceiling fitting, rather than a large shade intended to diffuse light broadly.Show more
