SPIR3 is a controller for addressable SPI strips — the kind where every pixel carries its own chip and lights independently of its neighbour. It runs on DC 5–24 V, carries up to 10 A and takes its commands over 2.4 GHz radio. An addressable strip is not an ordinary RGB strip On a classic RGB strip every diode always shows the same colour — the controller sets one state for the whole run. On an SPI strip each pixel gets its own value, so waves, comets, gradients and a fire effect can travel along the tape. That requires a controller able to generate such a data stream, and that is what SPIR3 is. The signal leaves as SPI (TTL) at 800 kbps, the standard the common pixel chips expect. The pixel limit depends on the mode What describes this controller's capacity is not metres but pixels: 2048 in MONO mode (dimming only), 1536 for RGB and 1024 for RGBW. The more channels per pixel, the fewer pixels fit in a data frame — which is why the three figures fall. On a 60-pixel-per-metre strip, the RGB limit corresponds to roughly 25 metres of continuous run. Current is a separate ceiling: 10 A is about 120 W at 12 V and 240 W at 24 V, and that limit usually bites before the pixel count does. 2.4 GHz radio control and 20 ready effects SPIR3 is a receiver — it takes commands from a MiBoxer remote or panel on 2.4 GHz, with up to 30 m of range in open space. Radio needs no line of sight the way infrared does, so the controller can hide above a suspended ceiling or behind furniture. 20 dynamic effects are stored in memory and available straight away, with no configuration. The SET button on the case handles pairing and settings, the DND function stops the strip lighting itself when power returns, and PUSH switching lets an ordinary momentary wall button drive the installation. Installation The case measures 74.5 × 36 × 17 mm — it fits in a wiring box, a furniture profile or the void above a ceiling. Operating range is −10…40 °C, so unheated rooms are acceptable provided the controller stays dry: the manufacturer declares no IP rating for it. The DC power supply is chosen separately, to match the strip voltage and total load. The device is CE certified for EMC and RED.
