Gallery Direct Hampshire Leaner Mirror, Antique Silver, 170 × 84 cm

Name: Gallery Direct Hampshire Leaner Mirror, Antique Silver, 170 × 84 cm
Brand: Gallery Direct

The Gallery Direct Hampshire Leaner is a rectangular mirror measuring 170 cm high and 84 cm wide, with an ornate antique-silver frame. Moulded borders and raised ornaments at the corners and along the sides give the frame a Baroque-inspired character. A bevelled glass edge separates the reflective surface from the surrounding decoration.A full-length mirror with two placement optionsThis version can be positioned as a leaner or hung on the wall. Upright, it provides a full-length mirror for a dressing area or bedroom. It can also serve the same purpose in a hallway, provided its overall width leaves the passage clear. Measure the intended wall area using the complete 170 by 84 cm dimensions rather than treating them as the size of the glass alone.Gallery Direct specifies both portrait and landscape hanging, with D-ring fixings. When hung horizontally, the long edge occupies 170 cm of wall width, which matters when planning its position above furniture. The mirror itself is 3.5 cm deep; that measurement does not describe the floor space required when the frame is leaning at an angle. What the silver finish describesThe frame is wood, and the manufacturer's material specification lists glass, resin and wood. Its silver-leaf finish is applied by hand. Antique silver describes the surface treatment, not a frame made entirely from silver. Darker recesses and brighter raised edges make the floral and scrolling relief visible, as shown in the detail photographs.Making room for the ornamentThe frame suits classical, period-inspired and glamour interiors where decorative detailing is part of the scheme. In a living room it can be a wall feature as well as a mirror; in a bedroom or hall its full-length format serves a practical purpose. The net weight is 17 kg, so securing or mounting it requires a solution appropriate to that weight and the supporting surface. Decide between leaning and wall hanging before preparing the space.Show more
