HXR One is LED neon in a silicone jacket – the successor to the glass neon tube, only run on 24 V instead of several thousand and bent by hand instead of with a torch. This version glows violet; the silicone is violet too (Pantone 2076 C), so the sign still reads as neon when it is switched off. Cut it anywhere The defining feature of the range: there is no fixed cutting interval. An ordinary LED strip cuts every 5 or 10 cm, and on an "S" or around a logo that means rounding the length to the nearest module. Here you cut exactly where the shape ends. With 120 diodes per metre the light points merge into a continuous line – individual LEDs are invisible even close up, helped by the semicircular cross-section that spreads the output across a 120° angle. Bending and twisting The bend radius is just 30 mm in the horizontal plane, and bending works across multiple planes – you do not have to plan which way the run "lies". On top of that it twists up to 360° every 30 cm, which lets a single unbroken line turn a corner or wrap an object with no cut and no soldered joint. The 7 × 15 mm section disappears inside narrow profiles and built-up letters. IP67 – genuinely outdoor IP67 means full protection against dust and against immersion, not merely against splashing. The silicone is additionally resistant to UV and to salt, so the colour does not fade on a façade or grow brittle near the coast. The operating range of −20 to +45 °C covers a central European winter; storage is permitted from −20 to +80 °C. Colour consistency The manufacturer declares 3 steps on the SDCM scale – the measure of colour spread between individual diodes. In backlit signage, where two adjacent runs are seen side by side, it is precisely the colour difference that ruins the effect; 3-step SDCM is the threshold below which the eye stops noticing it. Add to that guaranteed colour consistency of the silicone itself and a declared life of up to 50,000 hours. The product is TÜV certified. It runs on 24 V DC, so it needs a driver sized to the length (9 W per metre plus headroom).
