Cervia is an outdoor cylinder 8 cm across and 11 cm tall, in sandblasted black aluminium with a glass diffuser. The integrated LED delivers 765 lm of warm 3000 K light from up to 9 W, rated IP54. Glass instead of plastic — why that matters outdoors The great majority of inexpensive facade fittings use a polycarbonate or acrylic cover. Cervia's is **glass**, and that is a difference you see after a few seasons. Plastic gradually hazes and yellows under UV, so the fitting loses part of its output and shifts the colour of its light. Glass is unaffected by sun or frost, does not scratch when cleaned, and looks the same years later as on the day it went up. On a south-facing wall or an unroofed terrace that property deserves more attention than the quoted LED life. Sandblasted black and the cylinder form A sandblasted finish gives a matt, finely grained surface that does not throw point reflections of the sun and does not show rain streaks the way smooth lacquer does. Black is the classic choice here against pale render, timber and steel. The plain 8 cm cylinder imposes no style — it suits a modern volume as readily as a traditional house where it should go unnoticed. At 11 cm tall it stands off the wall no further than an ordinary conduit box.
